religious education...

The Catholic Church exists to evangelize. It is mandated to carry forth the Good News to every sector of the human race. Religious Education participates in this mandate of the Church and invites people of all ages to conversion and faith. The Catholic faith is, above all, conversion to Jesus Christ, full adherence to his person and the decision to walk in his footsteps. Authentic discipleship demands a permanent commitment to think like him, to judge like him and to live as he lived. Thus, parents, students, faculties and all parishioners are called to witness to this intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

At St. Matthew Parish we offer class for grades 1 through 8 and a two-year confirmation program. K-8 classes are help on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons as well as Sunday mornings. Confirmation classes are held Sunday evenings .

Please see the bulletin for weekly Religous Education updates!

By his word, through signs that manifest the reign of God, and by sending out his disciples, Jesus calls all people to come together around him. But above all in the great Paschal mystery - his death on the cross and his Resurrection - he would accomplish the coming of his kingdom.

"And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." Into this union with Christ all men are called to follow in his words.
