Catholic Support for Ukraine

In February, Bishop Libasci, in union with our Ukrainian Catholic brethren, requested prayers for peace in Ukraine.

On March 17, Pope Francis invited ‘all Catholic bishops and priests around the world to join the Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary’. (You may read the letter here.)

In response, on March 18, Bishop Libasci sent a letter to all parishes in the diocese to ‘ask all to make every effort to engage in this Act of Consecration’, which will occur on March 25 (the Feast of the Annunciation) at noon.

In light of this, Msgr Anthony will be leading the St Matthew parish community in the Act of Consecration on Friday, March 25, at noon. Those unable to attend in person may view the livestream service held at the Cathedral.

Join us on Wednesday, April 6, at 7p for a Mass for Ukraine. Read more about the evening here.

Please consider donating to Catholic Relief Services and their ongoing work in Ukraine.
